First, our Farm Store: We will be closing our Farm Store for the rest of the year (except for special Holiday Sales Events). Watch for our Seasonal OPEN HOUSE Events where we will be OPEN for fun family events and store sales. If we get snow, we will open our trails again for snowshoeing and hiking.
I will be updating our website to include our inventory of nonperishable foods that can be shipped, delivered or picked up from the store.
Second, our Farm: We took a "gap year" so we could focus on building our new barn. All of our time and resources have been absorbed into this project. We also experienced a freezer failure and lost a large amount of our inventory of our pasture raised pork. The lack of sun has shortened our growing season and our fruit trees failed to produce. We just simply do not have enough of our own farm produced products to justify being open. We don't sweat this stuff. Instead we have been enjoying some wonderful trips with each other and our family. We are looking forward to an amazing fall and winter season of relaxation and planning.
Third, OPEN FARM DAY: Our new Event Barn is not complete and will not be ready in time for our OPEN FARM DAY Event his year. We have decided to cancel the event and plan again for 2025. There will not be any Farm to Table Dinner Events for the rest of the year as well.
I assure you, this is not a parting of ways from our incredible community of shoppers, supporters and guest. We have VERY BIG plans for 2025 and I will be rebuilding a new website and publishing it just in time for our new Grand Opening Event. So stay tuned for our announcements.
Thank you to Everyone for an incredible year here at The Farm. We simply could not have made it this far without you. Your support has encouraged us to take a huge step into a very exciting and sustainable farm venture and we can not wait to share it with you soon. 2025 will be 10 YEARS and we have some celebrating to plan for.
