SADDLE AND TACK CLEANING AND REPAIR

Erin, owner of The Fox and Crow Farm, has been cleaning, conditioning and repairing saddles since 2018. She understands the cost of buying a good quality saddle and tack and the importance of maintaining your investment.

All saddles and other items will be dropped off at a scheduled time at the farm:

948 Province Road, Barnstead, NH 03218.

Shipping can be arranged at your expense. 

We can also replace buckles, screws, fasteners, dees, loops, rivets and more.

Please ask to see her catalog of metal hardware options.

Oilskin Proofing, Chaps & Chinks, Boots, Bridles, Reins, Breast Collars, Harnesses, Saddles, Leathers and more.


Prices and availability are subject to change.

At this time we are not able to replace zippers or large leather areas (fenders, etc)

LEVEL 1: $150

Clean and condition all exposed, finished sides of leather. Apply conditioner to increase flexibility and longevity of the leather.

LEVEL 4: $250

Partial disassembly of the saddle to professionally clean and condition inaccessible areas. Polish to remove grime and tarnish on rivets, collar rings, and dee rings. Replace rusting or damaged screws, collar rings or dees.         *Show-type silver, etc. are an addition cost. Use specialized tools to remove grime in the engraving. Professionally clean and condition all exposed, finished sides of leather.
Professionally clean and condition all exposed, unfinished sides of leather. Vacuum and brush wool.

REINS: $35

Replace broken, damaged buckles or screws. Deep clean the leather and condition to provide a nice supple leather.

Rubber reins, biothane, etc will be washed.

LEVEL 2: $175

Clean and condition all exposed, finished sides of leather.
Clean and condition all exposed, unfinished sides of leather. Apply conditioner to increase flexibility and longevity of the leather.

BRIDLES: $55

Disassembly of bridles to provide a deep clean. Replace buckles, screws and other rusty or worn out hardware. Condition leather. Some leather pieces can be replaced (ie: throat latch, cheek straps, etc. These can be done for an additional fee)

OILSKIN CARE

Reproofing Oilskin Jackets, Hats and Chaps.

Please DO NOT  wash your oilskin before bringing in for proofing. Reproofing should be done every 3-10 years or as needed.

LEVEL 3: $200

BREAST COLLAR/CINCHES/LATIGO/OFF BILLET/ETC: $55

Deep clean. Replace buckles, screws and other rusty or worn out hardware. Condition leather. 

Replacement of latigo or off billet straps can be arranged. 

Wool cinches or breast collars can be cleaned here as well. Inquire about my services for wool items.

BOOTS

Cowboy Boots, English Riding Boots, Paddock Boots and Chaps.

Full Cleaning and conditioning.

We are not able to replace soles or boot inserts. I am happy to refer you to my local cobbler for boot repairs.

We offer replacement hardware

We can provide a catalog of replacement hardware and conchos.

FAQ's

How long will it take to do my cleaning or repair?

This will be discussed before the item is left here with me. Each item will take a different amount of time based on what needs to be done. Some can be done same day while others can take up to a week. Parts and hardware can also affect the time frame.
